Julian Assange: from hero to zero
Great article from Karin Olsson on Assange from a Swedish perspective.
"The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which."
George Orwell, Animal Farm
Julian Assange's battles threaten to overshadow WikiLeaks' work
There’s an extraordinary exchange showing Assange’s attitude to Afghan informants in this Washington Post article:
“Well, they’re informants,” he said, according to the journalists’ account. “So, if they get killed, they’ve got it coming to them. They deserve it.”
Wow.
Thomyk 109: WikiLeaks
As the title would suggest, there’s much blathering about Wikileaks, although I also recap on my problems with Clairol’s advertising campaigns and talk rather aimlessly about some films I saw, whilst making something out of Lego at the same time. Will the wonders never cease?
Vanity Fair profile of Julian Assange
Fascinating read. Especially the backstage shananigans between The Guardian and Assange. I do love the fact he threatened to sue them because he thought the information belonged to him. That would have been some court case.
