Dr No by Ian Fleming

Even as Bond stories go, this one feels far-fetched. And in true Fleming style, with him being obsessed by race in a rather creepy way, it’s about a Chinese man who bases himself in Jamaica, and so has servants who are half-Jamaican, half-Chinese. Of course.

It’s reasonably engrossing nonetheless, though.
