Jon Gaunt called her "the most dangerous woman in Britain" and she wrote his former employers a letter saying "From a personal point of view as someone who has been on the receiving end of Jon Gaunt's blunt polemic in print and on the radio, I believe that the airwaves of a great democracy would be the poorer for his absence." Yes, I don't agree with all of the ordering (is The Soft Bulletin really that good?) but then that's true of any list of this type. I think, though, that this is likely to point anyone without an astonishingly anal interest in 90s music towards a few albums they didn't know, and that's always good.

That Pitchfork list is fairly comprehensive, if not my ideal order. I was glad to see The Breeders’ Pod and De La Soul’s sophomore effort included. Most 1990’s lists tend to overlook these gems.
